Because this is xgenstudios.

They've made a few decent games but by and large they are not very bright people.

Obfuscating code in html5 games or preventing cheating in single player games are some of the stupidest most short sighted practices in game development.

Both will alienate your player base.

It instantly ruins the game. If you give yourself infinite money, you buy all the upgrades and there's no reason to play the game anymore.

This might get online multiplayer someday. Implementing anti-cheat is a good sign for this, even if they say there won't be online multiplayer.
