New Year Achievement?!

Am I the only one who ever wondered how 1,9% of the players can have the achievement for playing on new year's eve when the game came out in march this year?

Change the date on your computer maybe? Don't know if that's the case, but that's usually how things like that are done.

But there is only one thing I don't understand. Will you get the achievement if you finish the game still on 31st or just 1st or will it work for both? Anyone who changed the system date? (I don't want to play the game twice)

I changed my system time to New Years, just started the game and got the achievement immediately. I didn't need to actually play.

well, it is new year's eve, and i am playing year walk to get my new year achievement. furthermore, i thought it would be appropriate to do a year walk review on this evening too.

sure there are ways of getting around achievements and obtaining any that you wish. you can find a hack, or reset your clock or simply start the game but don't play it through, but in doing so you miss the point. so, yes, tonight i am playing it through totally.

and it is cold, dark and deathly still outside. soon i too will venture out on my own year-walk.

let us see if the grim will visit my dreams...
