1.4.3 changelog
Changes:
Fixed a couple crashes fighting the Gertigator (one that happened if it was the first monster you fought after loading a save made in an old version, another that happened if it won the fight).

Fixed a crash if achievement unlock fails in certain ways on Linux.

Now gives a better hint where to go once you've beaten the Gertigator.

Fixed a cosmetic bug that caused saves made using the software renderer to have malformed screenshots. (This won't affect existing saves, only new saves.)

Cleaned up some engulfment-tracking code that might have been causing monsters to think partymembers were already engulfed and hence leave them alone in some contexts.

Trimmed a few debug messages.

To use the beta:
Right-click (control-click on a Mac) on the game in your Steam library.
Select 'Properties'.
Click on the Local Files tab.
Select the beta named 'beta'.

That's weird. What monitor and video card are you using? This is Win10, right? Are you using the desktop or the tiles interface? What renderer did the game select? (Options: Video Settings will tell you.). Does the cursor stay the Science Girls cursor when it's over the Windows desktop part of the screen? How are you switching into fullscreen?

Possible workaround - if the game is using the OpenGL or Angle renderer, setting the game to windowed mode and then stretching the window should work. (It's a 4:3 game, so the window will be pillarboxed if needed.)

Ah rebooting seemed to fix the issue now it's playing at full screen. It's always the simplest solutions. Thanks.

I'm putting together a troubleshooting guide. Is it OK if I include your screenshot in it?
