4 local coop?

Does this port supports 4 player locally in all modes?

This review says this:
"the addition of a BYOB mode in which another player can take control of Yuki or Dishwasher’s little pets; a cat and a raven. This twin stick shooter form of gameplay is just an assist, but it’s a nice addition to get a casual player involved in your game, best of all, it works both locally and online. Basically each pair of local players can control the pair of characters: Yuki/cat or Dishwasher/raven. That brings this two player co-op experience up to four"

How do you do enable that?

It seems the 4 players is online only, two players control a character and his mascot and the other two the same, Why didn't you add this four players controls to local coop too? Please add it.

Just tried an online game with a friend and we each wanted our local player to control the pets but it doesn't work at all, wtf? Was that removed from the PC port?
