Remote play together Not working

I'm trying to play with a friend of mine through remote play together. We've been playing fine until just now, she hosts the game and plays with the keyboard while I play with my controller.
The issue comes when today we tried to play like we where doing so far, but my controller isn't working properly, if I move to the right, my character keeps going even after I stoped moving the stick, or the attack button keeps pushed even when I only taped it. Does anyone know how to fix this? We're going through the last world and it would be a shame to not be able to beat the game a this point.
