Remote Play (Overseas) Co-op
How well would the co-op work if someone in Japan wanted to play with someone in North America? Would the Steam remote play work well enough or would an alternative like Parsec or Radmin be better?

I've played through Parsec with a friend in west USA (I live in Europe myself, I'd say it's about the same distance as US - JA, if not further.) We suffered occasional lag spikes, but otherwise after messing with stream settings a bit the input delay seems minimal. It all depends on your own connection too.

I can't speak for Remote Play or Radmin, first time I heard of the latter actually.

Our settings with Parsec were as follows.

Host
Resolution: 720p
Bandwidth Limit: 10 Mbps (it might work better if raised, depending on your connection)
FPS: 30
Echo Cancelling: Legacy
Quality: Lowest Latency

Client
Overlay: Off
Vsync: Off

Remember to tell host to set the game to 720p as well when streaming. We found this also helps.

Ah, this sounds like useful information. Thank you for your reply.

No use replying when it's not helpful, right?

Hope these settings work out for you. If not just tweak it until you're confident it's as best as it can get. Happy gaming!
