in some situations, chaser is better than crack, because chaser's projectiles can turn and bend toward the boss, making it miss less. while crack can only shoot in strait paths (any direction) it does miss more, but it deals more damage. most dlc boss work better with crack, but the main bosses work better with chaser.
In island 1-3 though I got S rank with nothing but charge shot. I found charge to be far less useful in the dlc so I stopped using it.
- It's not precise, meaning you don't have to be either. It's super good for crowd control and killing minions. The shots will "spread" vertically (by like the height of the character) over distance.
- It deals great damage and has infinite range, while still having excellent speed.
- The super deals a lot of damage and the bigger the boss, the greater the damage is. It can deal damage multiple times on the same enemy sprite. You can also sort-off control it's trajectory even having fired it.
And, most important of all, you don't need to aim with it, since it covers the whole screen. You can simply focus on dodging while holding the fire button. (Once again only applies to horizontal boss fights)
