Parrying achievements at Funhouse Frazzle

I parried on a card around 20 times without touching the ground and parrying didn't count towards "Parry Performance" nor "Bouncing Ball" (the NPC that asks me to parry four times in a row didn't seem to acknowledge my parries as well). Is parrying not supposed to count on Run & Gun stages or have I run into a bug?

Most objects that can be parried multiple times don't count towards the achieve. Last I checked the pink balloon enemies at the other run n gun in area two should work.

I had read somewhere that someone was able to get the parrying achievement on a card in some other level, so I thought that maybe this was a bug. I'll check it the other Run & Gun area then. Thanks!

The best stages to do it are obviously the Mausoleums, since you'll get an abundance of parryable ghosts swarming you.

I actually got them on Funfair Fever. I don't understand why parrying counts on the same balloon but won't count on the same card. Ghosts were too sparse in the Mausoleums, if I tried to parry more than three, one of them would reach the jar...
