Depends on your skill level, it has 7 normal levels and 28 boss fights, each one takes like 4-5 minutes to beat, but until you beat it you will die several times so as I said it depends on your skill.

I took like 30hrs to complete it.

I'd say a pretty decent amount. to do absolutely everything the game has to offer right now, this includes s ranking every boss, p ranking every level, getting every achievement, took me around 50 hours. On top of that, the games replay value is insane, I've beaten it 4 times just cause.

So yeah, pretty great game with insane devotion put into it for a good play time. Kept me interested.

it's pretty short if you only beat the game, but you will have a lot of hours of gameplay if you explore the extra content like Expert mode, P rank, Secret phases, S rank and the achievements

To finally defeat The Devil it took me 22 hours and 29 hours of total game to complete the game to 200%

I still play cuphead I have over 100 hours but if you are playing just to finish story mode 5 hours max it took me like 4 hours to beat it first time then another 4 to 100 percent it and now i like to just semi speed run it. Its my favorite game of all time
