I'm going to guess no, but it could be maybe. Are we really going to break down the anatomy of a fictional character?

The way I see it, their cup heads are similar to our hands. If we drink from our hands, the liquid doesn't return exactly in the same condition back onto the outside of our hands.

That said, I haven't seen any illustrations depicting the inside of the cups of the cupheads. So it's possible I suppose.

Probraly it's like how the body works
When you eat something, it goes into your digestive system. The nutriteins gets absored and the rest goes out. The nutritents then go through the body (through blood i think) and does what it gotta do.
Probraly milk is drunk from the two, which takes the calcium that they needs for his power and then the rest goes inside the bullets. They relase it off-srcreen, same with Cuphead drinking his milk. They get the milk from the kettle which genrates it like cells (more like sperm) off-srceen
