My eyes. They hurt
Can you add an epilepsy-free mode?
I want to be able to play this without internally bleeding from my eyes

If your eyes are sore, just get some rest.
If the colors are too bright just tone the saturation or the brightness on your monitor down (if it's an advanced one you should be able to select or set different modes instead of manually turning it up and down every time).
If you suffer from epilepsy and you feel like you're having a seizure every time you play it, then try the mod I posted in my sticky thread, it should remove the blinking effect of the title card of each level, that should reduce some stress, other than that just take a 15 min rest every 1-2 hours.

You DO know there is a black and white mode right? And 2-strip mode which slightly removes some color contrast. Plus there's a thing called a brightness button. Also there are multiple mods to remove this.

This is only about my photosensitivity. I don't want to play this in b&w. I would like to be able to play this as intended, my main problem is the flickering in the start of the rounds and the knockouts. Lowering brightness or color bleed doesn't work for me. But i'm gonna look for those mods you've said

Both of the modes you suggested are only unlocked by playing the game extensively; that's obviously not helpful considering the OP's problem is that he CAN'T play extensively because of the flashing colors, my guy.

Epilepsy has nothing to do with "eyes-bleeding", are you high? Did you have a seizure playing this game? No? Then don´t post stupid crap. Also black and white makes the game look much worse...

I don't think people understood what I meant tho. I'm being dead serious. I have epilepsy yes, but I love this game. I may be wrong but I don't think saturation level has anything related to epilepsy. To my own experience in general, not only in this game but videogames and movies in particular, I only seem to be triggered when the image flickers really fast (e.g. the Heavy Rain's disco chapter). At least that's what makes my eyes become really stressed out, and what triggers me the most IN THIS GAME are the flickers really, not the colors, because the game flickers so much that I constantly have to play with my eyes 70% closed. But someone here said that there are mods available out there so tomorrow i'm gonna look for it and hopefully we can finish this thread. I really didn't want to cause this much of a rant whatsoever

Show me what I said that was wrong.

The game IS meant to be played with colours.

The developers DID the game with colour on PURPOSE. They spent DAYS doing the colours. So if you think I´m wrong for liking the game as it is then you also think the DEVELOPERS are wrong too.

Why do you think black and white isn´t the standard? The idiot here is you.

A) He called you a dumb ass because you ranted about epilepsy while missing the OP's every point (even if the OP DIDN'T have epilepsy, getting mad at someone for complaining about how the flashing hurts their eyes makes no sense).

B) How did you even come to the conclusion that any of us said the game isn't supposed to be played with colors or that you're wrong for liking the colors? Why did you make a counterargument for an argument that wasn't even made? Seriously, where the actual hell did that come from?

C) The game isn't supposed to be played in any certain way anyway. If the game was only supposed to be played in color, then they wouldn't have made the other modes. The game is supposed to be played in whatever mode the player likes. It's only your opinion that the game looks worse in black and white; you can't dictate how a game is supposed to be played based on your opinion.

It´s not MY opinion. See how many Youtube videos exist of people playing it in black and white.

Compare to how many playing it with colour. How many reviews were done playing with colour.

Yes, because the videos of people playing Cuphead totally represent the tons and tons of people who play Cuphead...

They wouldn't have created black and white if the developers themselves didn't think people would play it, and the fact that it exists shows that some people did like it during testing. Use your head, you moron. It IS your opinion, not a fact. Just because you think it looks worse doesn't mean everyone does.
