Horipad mini ps4 controller

So i just bought this controller so I could play some rocket league on my laptop while traveling. I can get the controller to be recognized in the devices and printers setting, but when I load up rocket league none of the buttons register. I've also tried to connect it while inside steam big picture, but it is not recognized in their either. Anyone know anyway to fix this?
