So, i've been hearing abot this anti piracy thing, with the piarted music. Is this real? If you have evidence, screen record it. Here's what I heard
If you have a pirated (an illigeal versoin of said game brought for free without premission of develpoers) version of the game Cuphead, you will hear a ticking sound, then will get a hugmongus jumpscare from the Die House. Now, everyone at my school has a priated version of the first version Cuphead, and i've never heard/saw anything like that.

Honestly, I've never heard any of my friends that pirated the game complain about a jumpscare. I hope this is real though, but with all respect, this needs to stay hidden from people that pirated the game, otherwise it would be useless to put such a measure in the game. I'd say not to talk about it, let the people who pirated it suffer...

I pirated Cuphead, but I have it on Xbox, so it's not much of a deal since I already have it

That's not what I meant, what I was trying to say is that Studio MDHR did a great job with Cuphead and they deserve every cent of it. It's pointless to pirate it and it's not even an expensive game. Also, this "music" that supposedly plays in the APD_1 is entitled Mus_DontDealWithTheDevil_Audio_666 and is present in the game's files.

In every version I've tried with cuphead, I've found literally no traces of anything in the code that mentions APD_1
The music, that can be found even in the official steam version of the game, but the APD_1 is entirely non-existent

It's probably just a hoax created by a guy in Reddit wanting some notoriety (the discussion originated on a thread there). Besides, if it really was there, someone would've already found it, Cuphead was the most pirated game during the entire October and it's curious that with this ammount of people no one ever made a recording of the supposed jumpscare. So yeah...Probably just a hoax.

It is the most pirated game during October, litearlty everyone has the first and pirtated version at my school, and I've seen no evidence expect the song. It's just some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ trying to lie

It is real if you search on youtube you can find it easily, probably your pirated version already knew about this APD_1 and deleted it from your game files.
