It's just really really really hard for most people, I didn't have much troubles with him on normal mode but now I'm doing expert and he's decimating me...

try destroying the laser IMMEDIATELY if you do it quick enough and land enough shots you can destroy it before he even shoots you

I guess it depend on how your brain works. Some people have good reflexis, therefore are great at dodging sudden objects. Others can process more objects moving on screen at once, so they are better at surviving with a screen full of enimies. There are also people whose brains study the bosses' patterns without even noticing, this helps them find out which attack is going to happen or how it's going to happen. There are more examples but you're probually bored by now XD

Is this recent, because Phase 3 got a deal easier in the latest patch awhile ago.

it did i got cuphead like right before Christmas because yes this is recent
