PS3 Controller

Can I use a PS3 controller to play this game, and if so, how do I use it. When I plug in the controller, it doesn't turn on.

Sorry man, I don't think you can just plug it in and expect it to work. You need a certain program to actually use that controller, but I'm fairly sure there isn't any to work for PS3 controllers.

However, if you have a PS4 controller you can actually download DS4 to set up the controller on windows and simply use that to play on any games, this one in particular.

I used a program called SCP Toolkit to make my DS3 work.
