Cant talk with npcs

Hello. I am playing Cuphead with the keaboard and i would like to know how to talk with the npcs because nothing seems to work. Thanks!

Do you have a controller plugged in? Have you tried rebinding the interact key and tried again?

well the options dont show an interact key wich is weird

Sorry, I meant the jump key as that one is also used for interactions.

simple fix:
reload the game>dont touch controller>move with arrow keys on map and talk with Z to ppl (should have Z bubble pop up on interactions)>when done assign controller back to using controller.

when i assign the controller the z interactions dissapear, when i remove the controller the z work for talk with NPC, i cant play for this, i dont want play with keyboard (sorry for bad english)

Check controls in the settings, maybe no button is set? It's supposed to be "z" to talk to people and shoot. If the controls are empty, just set something.

i can jump, the jump button its set, but i cant talk or enter to the tutorial, when i remove the controller have appear a globe with the "Z" button when i get close to any and i can talk with z when i push, but when i assign the controller that globe just disapear, i can jump with the controller but talk with NPC its impossible
