Heath Bar
Am i missing something? Is there a health bar display for enemies? I feel liek that would have made this game much more barable. I just completed the game and ready somewhere that there was a health bar?

Kinda stupid honestly. Makes no sense not to display a health bar.

I feel if they had added a health bar for the bosses it would have cluttered the screen. The visual cues are enough in my opinion.

Cluttered the screen? It would just be a small bar on the top right or bottom right corner lol

I don't know. If a health bar was present people could gauge how much health the boss had remaining and just face tank near the end when they knew they could kill the boss in a dps race.

I don't think that is a tactic that should be awarded. I feel like the player should be always attempting to dodge and deal with mechanics up until the boss is dead or the player is.

There isn't a health bar because bosses switch phases based on their current animation and not just their health. If a boss is already in middle of an attack, it won't switch to phase 2 upon losing health, but rather will play out its move until the end.

Yeah I understand that, but a simple fix would be to show the boss not taking any damage (No highlight)

There's a health progress bar everytime you die, why isn't this shown mid game?

It would destroy the surprise of not knowing how many more phases are left the first time you fight the boss.

The progress bar when you die tells you how far along you are though so assuming if you died you won't be suprised too badly with a phase change.

When you die. On the first run though you don't know what will happen next and that makes it much more intense. Take the boss that turns into the moon. By the second phase I thought she died and had a slight relief, only to be caught by surprise with the giant transformation. If I saw that I was only 2/3 into the battle, I wouldn't have had that experience.

HP bars on bosses are distractions. You will likely go "Ahhhhhh!" and push for that final bit of HP and most likely make a mistake and end up back at full HP if you know how much HP it has left. However, if you know the phases and are on stage 4/4 then every shot in that phase will matter and not just the final 3 you see ticking away at the boss's exposed HP bar.

You're insisting that there must be a health bar but you're not providing any support for it. Why do you need a health bar? It adds literally nothing. You're either going to survive long enough to hit the boss again or you're not.

Nah, the boss actually still takes damage if you're at the end of the phase, and it eats into the next phase. I've actually been able to skip straight through entire phases taking advantage of that.

FYI, every time a boss dies, the game flashes "KNOCKOUT!" in huge lettering on the screen, a voice actor yells it, and you can't shoot anymore. If it doesn't do that, the boss isn't dead.
