Easily Implemented "Easy Mode"
I love a challenge in a videogame, and holy♥♥♥♥♥♥does Cuphead deliver. However, I completely understand that not everyone is able to complete games like this, yet still want to experience the beautiful art and music of the game. Many players are asking for an "easy mode."

Solution? Easy Mode gives 6 HP.
Just double the HP, yall. One of the hardest aspects of Cuphead is that it's unforgiving with it's (default) 3HP. Give em more health, they're able to make more mistakes. Keep it alongside Simple and Normal mode and boom, everyone's happy.

Not being able to restock on mistakes is pretty frustrating so this is a pretty interesting idea. Doubt I'll be able to beat Cup Head anytime soon because I'm god awful at it.

It's not about catering to casuals, it's about inclusivity, if you don't want to use an Easy mode, then don't use it.

There is a "simple" mode for most bosses already

You don't advance if you only beat the bosses on easy mode. You'll be stuck on the first island.

well in the store you can buy 1+ to 2+ hp but the negetiv is the dmg of you'r guns going to be lower

To be honest I like the idea, there's no way that I'll be buying Cuphead for that reason. After watching all the bosses on youtube, there's no way that my old man hands would be able to keep up with half the ♥♥♥♥ on the screen. :(

Want easy mode? Watch a youtube playthrough.
Hunny Oct 1, 2017 @ 12:52am

Good idea Op, this game is lacking a functional easy mode and this could be a solution.

or even better rechargable hp. one hp is recharged after 20 secs of gameplay
Ergotth Oct 1, 2017 @ 1:29am
oh yea, watching another idiot playing the game is JUST AS FUN as playing yourself! *sarcasm*

no, just reasonable.

That's the opposite of "reasonable". Synonym for reasonable is equitable. Antonym is intolerant. You're treating the position as a negative with only a denial. That is unreasonable.

It's the elitist version of 'Nuh uuuh!" or someone who eats oatmeal but says 'granola is for puxxies' because 'these OVEN USERS ARE WEAKENING SOCIETY!'

Here's an example of reasonable argument: I see what you're saying about the difficulty. Some people may experience more trial and error than others. Some people don't extract joy from accomplishing something after protracted periods of failure. Maybe you can understand how I don't want to tempt myself away from these specific thing that opiates me. Allow me to explain: I am continuously opiated, even at the memory of this accomplishment because of the mere difficulty and the reminder of my massively honed gamer skillzomgxx420!!GGWPwnage! It's like reaching a summit for me and then seeing someone take a helicopter to the top of the mountain.

I myself have hundreds of games and not much time to play all of them because of the commitment they require. My solution in some cases is to mod them to my tastes.
I suggest researching how to mod this game and failing that, imploring the developers to either release a mod to you privately or to the community at large.
Maybe start a new thread in that vein to avoid any possible confusion that some snowflaches might see as either an attack on their way of life or an opportunity to maxturb8 their egos in a forum -at your expense.

If none of that works out, this game was obviously made to be a timeless classic - judging from the art style alone - so, if you don't have the opportunity to play it to death right now, you'll probably get the chance to play it later in life, when you are able to set aside a sizable chunk of dedication.

Also, GET GUUUD
