invisible enemies and text.

Ok so my good laptop sttoped working, so im trying to play this game on a fairly outdated PC with windows 7, an intel pentium dual core 2ghz, 2gb RAM 32 bits (i dont know what else could be important), the thing is, the PC does run the game really smoothly, but, upon starting the game i noticed the first character dialogue box was missing. i went to the overworld map and the npcs there also had missing textboxs, so as the shop owner, when i go into a level or boss stage, the enemies are invisible, so as the attacks, which makes the game unplayable, all this while running pretty smoothly, maybe because theres nothing on the screen but my character and bullets. i tried verificating the archives so there wouldnt be any missing and nothing. i cant seem to find anyone else with this problem so i assume it is just my outdated PC, but still, i want to know if anyone knows what to do. Thanks for reading.

i got the same problem. no enemies and missing text in the texboxes. my system ist win 7, core 2 duo 2,4 ghz and intel 945 express chipset, 4gb ram

I had the problem with the missing text too. It happened to be a problem with the joystink not being configured on Steam. This is what worked for me:

-On Steam, Go to settings select controller settings and check generic gamepad controller support.
-Uncheck everything else
-Set your bindings in there if you haven’t done it before
-Now Go into the game, everything should work fine. if something does not work fine just go to in-game settings and change your bindings.

sorry to say that it doesn't, honestly i don't know how this even correlates with inviso grampics. tried it, didn't work. maybe it's my computer. idk, i just don't wanna play this with invisible enemies.

I've had a similar problem... However, my text wasn't the problem, but the ground of the run and gun levels, and ALL bosses... Whenever I start up a boss fight, the bosses are all invisable, the run and gun level grounds are invisable, and it's terrible to try and actually play against... Wish it'd be fixed... I've got some screenshots of this happening on my profile if you wanna check it out... It'd be amazing if someone found a fix for it...

Those processors aren't meeting the minimum requirements stated on the product page are they? With it saying it require core 2 duo @ 3ghz or so as minimum?

Additionally intel graphics chipset, the 945 express is 7 years(?) old?

I don't know if maybe there's some magical new updated driver you can find for this chipset perhaps? My guess would be that is the best hope.

Nope, it works in my Steam version of the game, but it lags a lot
