Hey everyone!

First off, HUGE THANK YOU to each and every one of you! We've been a bit too swamped lately to respond, but wanted to say that everyone's hard work and findings on this board have been incredibly valuable to us. We're working tirelessly to remedy as many of these bugs and issues as we can.

We plan to have a proper (and centralized) support forum up and running very shortly, but until that happens, we encourage everyone to keep sharing their findings here. My friend and I caught a bunch of bugs in our playthrough, and I don't see any of the following in the OP (I ranked them by severity, also added screenshot links where applicable):

  1. After the first phase of the fight with the devil[i.imgur.com], if one player is dead when you have to jump down to the lower level, nothing happens when the alive player jumps in the hole. It just waits for the dead player to jump in, forcing a retry. (100% repeatable)
    (Found at 4:24:00)

  2. The Memory Game[i.imgur.com] w/ the Monkey boss in the 9th slot of Mr. Dice's boss fight got stuck in a state where the Monkey was invincible, and the memory board was solved, so the boss was unbeatable and had to be retried. Not sure exactly what caused this, but it might have just been not beating him fast enough..

  3. In the boss fight with Mr. Dice, if you die on one of the sub bosses before they're defeated and are revived after the other player KO's them, you might find that the player who died will be dead again when loading back into the room with Mr. Dice.
    (Seen at 3:39:08)

  4. When killing the blowing Lion Statues in Rugged Ridge, if it was killed as it started to blow, the area where it died had a push-back effect even after it was long gone.
    (Somewhere after 0:11:30, I couldn't find the specific instance stepping through it :/)

  5. If the player is killed while being pushed upwards by the seahorse's stream in the "High Seas Hi-Jinx!" boss fight, they might respawn and still have an upward force applied to them until gameover.

Another thing that was probably already mentioned somewhere here is that if you start the game with the keyboard in solo, you can't play with a controller until you reboot the game, or go through the end credits to get back to the title screen again.

We also only encountered the locked title screen after credits bug once despite viewing the credits like 5 times.

Absolutely loved the game, so I hope this helps out!

I have had with 2 xbox one controllers the 2nd player revives the frist player and gets hit or parys the game will freeze at fullscreen but the sound will still play and so far it will only happen to 2nd player rarly happens in game play though.

Things I've tried without using JoyToKey, just using the Gamepad.

If I launch the game from Steam with the gamepad connected, I can use the gamepad to get past the main title screen (pivoting Cuphead and Mugman), but I can't do anything on the Start/Options/Exit screen (black with a teacup). The gamepad doesn't move or select anything.

If I launch the game from Steam without the gamepad and plug it in during the title screen, I can still advance to the black Start/Options/Exit screen using the gamepad, and then I'm stuck again.

If I launch the game from Steam without the gamepad, navigate to the World Map, go to an NPC (and get a speech bubble), plug in the joystick, and assign controller, I cannot interact using the controller, but I can interact with that NPC that one time using ENTER.

Current workaround is

1) Plug in gamepad.
2) Launch JoyToKey and load a profile that maps an unused button to ENTER.
3) (Optional) Confirm the "ENTER" button works in WordPad or another app.
4) Launch the game from Steam with the gamepad plugged in.
5) Use the fire key on the gamepad to advance from the Title Screen (pivoting characters).
6) Use the "ENTER" mapped gamepad button to select "Start" and choose the saved game.
7) Use the "ENTER" mapped gamepad button to start levels.
8) Unplug the gamepad and fall back on the keyboard to interact with NPC's.

So, the best way to describe this bug is that when a gamepad (and I've tried 3 different ones) is plugged in, walking up to an NPC doesn't trigger the code to display the speech bubble or allow an interaction with the NPC. Walking up to a level also does not trigger the code to display the bubble, but does allow the user to interact with the level (i.e. start it).

Walking up to an NPC and triggering the bubble, then connecting a controller does not allow interaction via controller, but does allow it via ENTER. Moving away from the NPC and returning without removing the gamepad cancels this ability.

There is some subtle difference between interacting with an NPC vs a Level.....
Thanks for all this information, to me it looks like they've forgot a couple of lines for that type of controller (and it seems to be a very common problem) so if you could provide me with enough information to identify what type of controller that is (or any one that you've tried and gives the same results) it would be of great help and I'll most definitively add it.

how many times did that happen? always on parry to revive? in what stage(s)/bossfight(s)? have you got (or could provide) a video of it?
Hope this gets pinned, but for now I'll bump it.

i dont have a vid and it would be hard to replicate its only the second player and it happens when you parry first and then hit the revive button or a certain hit will break the game. it only happend like 3 times and is difficult to do. on another note i happend on boss and run and gun lvls so it can happen anytime in game from what happend to me

Could you give me your pc specs and roughly the levels in which they happened?
For about 30 seconds or so, my entire computer will freeze when I start/quit the game, or open the Steam Overlay ingame.

Is that a frequent bug or did it happen only once? Were you standing still and simply jumped with the pink seed over your head?

This only happened once. I was airborne doing magic art I, and parried I think at the very end of it. With the auto parry charm you will perform a parry during special moves, which I've done several times without this happening, but I think the bug may have been triggered because it happened at the very end of the special.

The fight with the devil is bugged for 2 players if one of each dies, you cant advance to the next phase

Treetop Trouble is bugged with the rating system. I did everything perfect: Collected all coins, parries, didn't get hit, get a really good skill level, time is really good (1:40) still a B. Wtf? Please fix!
There's a glitch (I think) in the first phase of the final boss where when the devil stretches out his neck and I move to the far left, I get hit by nothing. I don't even touch 'em. I can avoid it by jumping, but because of the fact that I get hit at the very end of the devil's animation, and it doesn't happen when he does this exact same attack to the right, I think it's a glitch.

Don't know if anyone mentioned the bugs i've seen yet but... (Late game boss spoilers)
- The Monkey hanging off the toy crane during King Dice's battle will sometimes fly off screen (to the left) resulting in the boss's death (And also earns you the "Bravo Zulu P-26" achievement if you did not damage the boss), I don't have any footage but it happened to me 3 times inconsistently, it seems to be random.
-The eels during the medusa fight might stay on screen even if they are already defeated, it happened to me pretty consistently when spamming rockets during the fight.
-"Rolling Sixes" achievement is broken.
- I need a video for it, I'd be glad if you could provide me with one
- There's already a screenshot for the flies on fire in the frogs bossfight so I have no doubt in my mind that that's a similar issue, but I'd gladly take a screenshot of that too
