Can't use my arcade stick with the game.

I've been trying everything I can to get my Xbox 360 HRAP EX-SE to work with the game. Every other game recognizes it as just a regular 360 controller and they work fine.

Here I press a button on it at the title screen, and then suddenly it won't recognize any input on the main menu and the button prompts in the lower-right are distorted. I can navigate the menu with a keyboard and then remap all the buttons to the arcade stick seemingly just fine, but then when I try to play it, the button prompts are still screwed up (not showing the full words) and I can move but I can't interact with anything on the overworld.

As a workaround, I've tried using Xpadder to make the buttons on my stick emulate the keyboard, clearing all stick binds, but then when I try playing the game and pressing anything, it spawns a Player Two which I don't want and can't get rid of because every time I press a button it respawns them.

Very frustrating. My Xbox One gamepad still works, but I'd rather play this game with an arcade stick if I could.

Hey bro I have a arcade stick and it works. Its the Mayflash Arcade Fight Stick F300. Sorry to hear your arcade stick doesn't work.

Does it support TAC-2? I've never felt comfortable with the new controllers :-(

My xbox360 arcade stick worked just fine after launching the game from big picture mode (you have to check xbox360 controller support in Steam client's settings first).

No joytokey or x360ce needed.

how do you get the arcade stick to work because i too have the mayflash arcade fight stick but i'm new and i don't know how to set it up,i would love help if anyone would offer

If they let us map to keyboard buttons you could use joytokey and fix any and all controller issues.

Go to your steam settings and select "Controller", locate you stick and click it. Launch in Big Picture Mode and you are good to go. You may want to adjust a button or two but this is the way

I have the exact same problem as OP. Button prompts are distorted and my arcade stick, or any other controller for that matter, doesn't work in the menu. Have to use the keyboard to enter levels and I can't interact with characters.

Tried joy2key but like OP it spawns player 2 for some reason?
