Does this game require Internet?

i bought this game on win10 store so I could have it on the xbox as well but being its on my laptop I thought I could carry it with me and play anywhere, but no, I start it on windows and it says it requires internet. I spot to support and the woman told me she went on the game website and said it was an online only game, i disconnected immediatley because I knew I must be talking to an idiot since the website didn't say anything like that.

Well...your first problem was buying a game on the windows 10 store. If you have it on steam or on GoG or anything, no, it does not require internet connection.

The windows 10 store might have some windows BS on it though and if that is the case tough luck.

Edit: I checked it doesn't say it is required so you can probably get your money back because they have to tell you that- if that is the error you got.
Get a refund and get it on GoG or Steam or any place that doesn't suck.


Edit2: I saw in the reviews on the game on win 10 it looks like it doesn't run for anyone lol. Seriously why do you do this to yourself.

Well I did play the game, but once internet was off, no go, I got on win10 store solely so I could have it on the xbox as well because I just thought it would be convenient, I don't have the issue on residient evil, which was purchased on xbox and now I can play on windows

Probably embedded in whatever wierd ♥♥♥♥♥♥ DRM windows 10 store has I guess. Sorry.
That or it could be a technical problem yet to be fixed, judging from the reviews on their store page on win 10.

I have this on the Windows 10 Store (not by choice) and yeah, it's kind of borked. Always online, and if you have a number of MS IPs blocked as I do, the game will run but can't save properly.

I also had some moneys left from a gift card, the biggest reason I got it on the store, but I don't have issues with resident evil starting offline, maybe this will go away soon, hopefully its just a day one piracy prevention bs
