That is your problem, clearly in the tab of the game sets the minimum requirements ... Save and buy a 2TB disc that costs less than 50 €

GOG says 2GB in their own game details but 20GB just lower down in the full specs section copy-pasted from the same info steam has. The Microsoft Store approximates <10GB.

But I found an uh... unofficial "gog' version somewhere that is definitely 2GB, but that in itself could potentially uncompress to 10.

Also I see on the official twitter that the game is released despite the store page still saying pre-order, so anyone who owns it should be able to check as of a couple minutes ago.

It's a marketing trick in some cases - high storage requirements are perceived by some consumers as equating to more value/content for money, whereas a lot of the time the developer could have feasibly reduced the overall game size considerably through compressing the mediums with minimal perfomance impact on the end user. However, that is just a general remark and, whilst surprised at the size of this game (in contrast to it's design), I think it is amazing and wouldn't dare complaint equitably about it for something like storage space liability.

Its been a tradition to require slightly more storage than usual to make sure people take used space into account on their almost always full hard drive.
