King Dice card hitboxes
Pls, they are so bad, fix 'em. Sometimes a black card can be parried, sometimes pink ones just damage you, even when you are parrying mid-air.

I didn't have any problems with the hitboxes. It helps a lot if you have keep parrying the same card multiple times. One thing I sometimes have problems with is the intial jump without dashing, but if you jump + dash to the first pink card you'll easily parry it without taking damage, then just back and forth on the same card before jumping on the next one.

Yeah, in my opinion that hitboxes are even bigger than they should be.
Weird, my card hitboxes are preety ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. I had to beat King Dice with shameful "hide behind hands" strategy :(

The card hitboxes are bs - I don't care what any of you say.

They are NOT good at all. Obvious perfect parries = damage...please

I've played king dice a lot of times, and the card hitboxes are actually so big you don't even need to dash on expert when there's a huge gap between two pink cards where you're supposed to do it. Only iffy thing about them is the first card, which is more about hitting the black cards than missing the parry on the pink card. Jump and then dash fixes that problem though, so it's not a big issue.

Hitboxes for the parry should be a bit bigger than their actual hitboxes

lmao w/e - never any lag, freezes or anything. This game is smooth as butter.
I've even re-fought to DK just to retest the jumps....the parries are wonky as hell on them. Sometimes they even seem too wide and other times just seem to go nutty and not work.

Why?
While I can't tell you exactly how far it extends or how big the parrybox actually is, its designed to temporarily extend's the player's hitbox and checks for collision on parryable objects only (if an object isn't parryable, its treated as if its non-existant, unless it hit's the player's normal hitbox), regardless of this, the parrybox is coded for cuphead, not the enemy, and its maximum distance is always outside of the parryable object's hitbox.

Objects like the butterflies or parryable bits in the tutorials, and the mausoleum ghosts use a status like the player's ghost hitbox, which exist, but don't have any effect unless you are parrying.

The only reason a parry shouldn't work, is if a hitbox is broken, and if a hitbox is broken you should be able to pass right through it without taking damage.

If this isn't the case for you, I'd love to see a video where you show the hitboxes for the parry doesn't work.

Me too. I usually didn't have trouble parrying anything from the other bosses but the cards seemed to be really inconsistant and I kept falling through and taking hits. It was frustrating having to start all over again just because I kept falling through the cards.
