Is Fiery Frolic broken?

I was fighting Grim Matchstick as normal with my now weakened charge shot when I got stuck on phase two (the little line of fireball guys that occasionally leap up) for what seemed like forever until I eventually lost that war of attrition. On the death progress screen, I had barely made any progess on that phase, and this was true for the next five rematches!

Am I missing something here? Does charge shot not work against this particular phase? Was the way this phase works changed significantly in the cupdate?

Just tried and phase two ended in 10 charge shots (not using any EX-attacks or supers)
If you have trouble dodging the fireballs look at the way the fireball is facing when he makes a sound. If the fireball faces right, get to the left side of it (since it's gonna jump where it faces) and vice versa.

Also recommend using lobber EX-attacks instead of supers if you're not, since they do a lot of damage.
One lobber EX = 28 damage (5 cards = 140 damage)
super 1 = 87 damage

Hey, thanks for the quick reply, but I hit him a good 20 times each attempt of that phase, with little progress to show every time. I think there's something wrong here because I don't have too much trouble with the fireballs and, again, 20-ish hits.

If it takes 20 hits your game is bugged. Did you try again after restarting the game?

Huh. It's working properly now. I guess the game just needed to be restarted. How bizarre.
Anyway, I would still suggest the devs look into Fiery Frolic because what happened still happened. Thanks for the suggestions and help!
