Does the whetstone really allow you to parry non-pink items ?
I should look into that a bit.
THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING
Though question for anyone who knows, what's the sugar cube's effect on plane levels?
It doubles the duration of your parry, making it easier to parry objects.
It doesn't seem to build EX cards as fast as a normal parry, but it does allow you to parry off enemies, but not projectiles
If you do parry an enemy, it doesn't get counted during the ranking's parry count (or at least it didn't work for me)
Yes. There are basically two kinds of parries. One is usually when you parry an enemy's projectile. This will "count" as a parry, working towards achievements, getting you an EX card, and working towards the parry counter at the end of the level. The second kind is usually when you parry a constant object, and this kind is usually necessary to beat the level (ex. Ribby and Croaks' slot machine handle). This will not reward you with any of the things mentioned in the first kind of parry, but will still give you an extra jump and usually progresses the level further. Enemies that are only parry-able with the whetstone will be the second kind of parry, while damaging the enemy. Honestly, I wonder if that is overpowered.
Don't say that. (not trying to offend anyone, but) it's a bad idea to say any one weapon or charm is overpowered or bad for everything. Sure it may have more downsides than other things, but there are some situations where it is useful.
Okay, that isn't ALWAYS true. But it is in this game.
