How to play as Mugman?

My favorite Color is blue and my nephew's favorite color is red. Yet I have to play second player to play as Mugman.

I mean don't get me wrong I don't mind playing as Cuphead ,but it would be really cool if we could switch!

Like that would make me love this game even more!
So tell me is it possible? Do I got to use a hack to instate it? or code? Do I have to beat the game?(that would suck I only on boss 5) Can anyone help me? I google this question ,but got more questions than answers.

Aww ok, that sucks, I'll have to start over game then, my nephew has been buying Cuphead's store items n such, and since I am main person playing he won't be happy but oh well. Thanks for the info!

I think you just can pick up two keyboard and just using secondary keyboard

It actually would be awesome if single-player allowed us to switch between Cuphead and Mugman at will. Easy to conceptualize, too:

The opposite brother gets stationed somewhere on each map as an NPC. Walk over and talk to him, he'll give some idle banter but also ask if you'd like him to take over for a while; pick Yes to swap characters.
