Saved data bug

Twice this week the game randomly deleted my saved data, so I had to start over. I will get halfway through inkwell isle 3, about 70% of the game total, and then the next time I log in, it only gives me the option to start a new game. Is there any way to recover my data or do I just have to groundhog day this game

Try disabling steam cloud, that could stop it from deleting your saves.

You can manually backup your savegame. So you can restore it manually again if needed.

Location is afaik: YourDrive:\Users\(User Folder)\AppData\Roaming\Cuphead

I just had the same thing happen. Good news is I knew where to find the save file (as you correctly note above). Bad news is the game isn't recognizing it.
