run & gun levels are the worst things in existence
only had the game for about 2 days now and the run&gun levels are horrible
they're 10000% harder than the actual bosses, plus the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ infinite amount of enemies falling out of the sky and ♥♥♥♥
fix them for gods sake

Just wait til you try to get the pacifist achievement.

If you use chaser you can get through them slow and easy. Super 2 is also really good on platform levels, since it gives you 5s of skipping stuff.

Health charms also make better use on platform levels.

But if you were good then you wouldn't have enough issues with Run and Gun levels to cry about them here?

Nothing wrong with being bad. You just gotta git gud. :thumb:

In other news, Mario maker streamers love the run and gun levels and wish there were more.

Platforming in this game is about moderate difficulty compared to the kaizo stuff they make in Mario maker lol.

even compared to classic nintendo games the difficulty is less kaizo. The enemy respawn is much more lenient than NES as well where you'd see enemies keep spawning at the end of the screen INSTANTLY while shooting or slashing at it, and have enemies spawn mid-jumps.

I agree, the Run and Gun levels are poorly balanced and overall really cheap. It hurts the flow of the game when secondary platforming levels are a thousand times more difficult than the actual bosses, lol.

There are plenty of "gud" players in this game. Take a look at the people who are speedrunning it without taking a single hit. It's just that people like to seperate themselves from the "other" part of the playerbase. Problem is, they'll tell you to "git gud" over anything, regardless of what your complaints are.

Find a devasating bug like the one where you can still get damaged by pink projectiles despite having parried them? "Uhh, the game is perfect! GIT GUD!"

At least they're optional and few (about 25% of the game), only there for collecting coins.

Still doesn't justify them being down right awful at some points. Sure, they're beatable, and through trial and error you can eventually storm through them, but when it's the platforming levels that are harder than the bosses, despite the whole game's marketing ploy being around bosses and how difficult they are, then you've got an issue.

The Run & Gun levels are more of a chore than something you can have fun playing over and over again. With bosses, it's still fun to die, but with the platforming sections, dying is one of the worst things ever because it sets you back so far and forces you to endure all of it's RNG fodder again.

Run and gun levels were a nice break for me.

The only one I really disliked is the Treetops. You know you can just run past most of the stuff.

I feel as if people complaining about the difficulty on Run'n'Gun levels, have never played something genuinely hard. Like, Metal Slug arcade machines, where the owners maxed the difficulty for max profits.
