Your Death Count When You Completed The Game?

Mine is terrible already and im barely through the game so just want to know if im doing average or worse than other people

349 after completing the game for the first time with an A ranking on all the bosses except King Dice. Then 397 after achievement whoring, and I wonder how much higher it'll be after beating the game on Expert.

since you can only see your death counter in world 2, I have 156 deaths. first playthrough of course. and this isn't counting the retries if the run is unsalvagable. I have some B rated levels. and btw how can you get a P grade on the first level when there's that acorn machine blocking the way?

Either invicibility super or go a bit back so the mushrooms will throw stuff you can parry to get above.


I personally finished the game (A+ everywhere, P on all run and guns, all achievements that you can get in a first playthrough) with 223 deaths. But, like many here, I used the retry button a lot.

Honestly, I don't see a reason to compare yourself to others. Why should your enjoyment of the game be affected by others doing better or worse than you? This is not a competition, it doesn't even have a competetive multiplayer mode where you doing worse than others could impact your team.
Your ability to play videogames is probably the LEAST important ability you can possibly imagine.

games -> sport -> competition. how can you not see this simple progression? there's even that idea of speedrunning as a form of competition.

I should not have read the comments here, really demotivating, i have already 216 deaths, i'm not even half way through the game yet, did the entire first chapter and only three bosses from the second chapter. At this rate i'll easily reach one thousand deaths by the end!

I'm literally just playing the game because of the amazing free jazz, cause i feel i'm terrible in this game, markiplier plays it better than me, f*** this, i should have bought the soundtrack only and forget about the game!

How do i git gud? Send help pls!!! Lol

The second isle can get hard, just try not to overreact, watch videos on how to beat the boss, ask for help, and experiment with different loadouts.
