Cagney Carnation on expert tips?

Idk if it's just me but this fight seems incredibly unfair on expert, so much ♥♥♥♥ on the screen it's dumb. any tips for this bs

First phase is the worst one. I sat on the ground near him (but still outside his jazz hands) and used spreadshot to deal with a majority of the sprouted plants and attempted to parry the pink one when I could.

During the moments I didn't have to play crowd control I switched to charge and diagonal aimed up at his face.

Easiest strat for him on Expert is to equip Roundabout and stay on the very left edge of the screen. Continuously fire toward the left and the projectiles will hook back around and sweep across the screen. Most of these projectiles will clear all of the plants that he spawns and the rest will hit the boss himself. Parry the bullets the flying pumpkin shoots at you and use Special-1 whenever you get 5cards.

After that phase, it should be pretty easy to just fight him legitimately, getting in his face and just shooting like crazy.
