Guaranteed number you want each time.
Once you get through it the first time, you are given more free spots to land on, and even if it was removed, it wouldn't change how many fights you could end up going through, and it might actually give you a second chance to get more health for the King Dice boss fight
Sometimes I go through the first time, to knock out as many of the easiest fights I can, and then go back through, just for the health
you can grab it when you go back around.
There is a reason games stopped being as bullshitty in the modern era, people tend to not like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I guess some people gave this a pass because "ooh pretty colors and jazz" or whatever.
This is actually an incredibly easy fight overall. When I first saw it I thought it would be a ♥♥♥♥♥ because of the numerous fights, but it's actually easy to control where you go, and the boss stages are more mini-bosses than anything. None of them really pose that much of a threat once you know what they do.
If kids in the 90's could beat practically the same boss fight, then kids in 2017 should also be able to do the same.
