PSA: Absolutely don't even attempt A+ on the Run N Gun levels.

I was intending on doing A+ in every level as I played through the game, and after hours of frustration found out two of the Run N Gun levels are impossible because they apparently don't have goal times correctly assigned to them.

Run N Gun levels also happen to be the only levels which A+ rank isn't required in for 100%, so it's not a big deal... as long as you're aware before you make the attempts.

Pacifist is actually higher than S, which is higher than A+, so go through them without killing anything for maximum rank.

Yes, that's why A+ isn't required, but the player is never told this rank exists until much later in the game.

Don't even play the Run & Gun levels unless you really need the coins.

I'd say you kinda need most of the coins. All 6 weapons are pretty mandatory for clearing bosses, especially when going for higher ranks, but I'd say that only the Axe Parry and Smoke Bomb are needed in the powerups. The hearts defeat the point of not getting hit, the Coffee isn't powerful enough, and the Auto Parry only works on the first jump, and throws off the timing of your parry.
