These games are generally fine played on keyboard, but since this game has shooting instead of melee it's more annoying - also the not mouse binding makes it even more annoying
This game caught my attention but i don't have a controller.
Awesome!
yes but you can't bind to mouse
Don't care about mouse as long as i can rebind the controls to any keys on the keyboard.
with platformers or platformer shooters i usually try to rebind the keys to the most comfortable position for me and just go with that though the game.
Remember a windows PC can use XBOX controllers by default on a fresh install (I think 7 and above, I can't remember if XP does it or not.) and with a program, can also use PS4 controllers.
You can rebind keys on both here which made is fun. Being able to rebind dash from Y to Right trigger was super super helpful for dodging.
With the keyboard you have your fingers over 3 movement keys at all times and can instantly press them. As such, you can also change direction instantaneously. Whereas with a controller you have to move your thumb in the direction you want to move.
I have a gamepad, and I like playing 3D games with it, where precise directional control is important. Cuphead is definitely not one of those.
