Parrying the candy wheels in Von Bon Bon's final phase?

Does parrying these count towards the 3 parrys in the results screen? Just wondering because I'm trying to get an A ranking. Also is her progress bar glitched in the final phase?

No. Parry only counts when the object you parry is also destroyed in the process. The only time it works on non-killable objects is parrying the pink balloon in world 2 run&gun

Wrong. Parry on the candy wheels will count, and others situations on BOSSES.

Ah, guess I was wrong. I did it on the jellybeans for my S rank cause I remember the parry not working in normal mode.
