Parrying Ribbit Brothers
I've searched around for a bit and no one seems to putting any attention on how difficult it is to get 3 parries on the Ribbit Brothers. Am I the only one having extreme difficulty with this!? I've A+'d every single stage in World 1 except the Ribbit Brothers solely because of parrying. You only get exactly 3 chances in the whole fight and those punches come fast. I can't even hit a low punch unless it is the first punch thrown.

Is there some very obvious trick that I'm missing to get these 3 parries? Please offer tips and guidance!

try dealing less dmg to them to force multiple fist shooting attack phases - thus more opportunities to land your parries if you are having trouble landing all three in one phase.

P. Sugar, learn the patterns and don't over do it in the first phase.

P. Sugar, I usually do 2 parrys in the first punches not bring him to the 2nd phase and let him do another round of punches where I get the last parry.

In Expert mode, the pink fists spawn in set patterns that can be memorized and predicted. I don’t know about regular, however.

Still fairly predictable, only really varying in the height the punches start from and which ones are pink.

A majority of fights have patterns for almost everything, with a few exceptions
Ribby and Croaks on Normal will shoot 9 punches, but they are always one of these 3 setups:
Regular (R), R, Parryable (P) (loops again twice)
P, R, R (loops twice)
R, P, R (loops twice)
(There might be a chance that they can switch between active pattern sets, but I have yet to actually see it myself)

On hard they shoot 5 punches on phase 1, in one of these pattern:
"RRPRP",
"RPRPR",
"PRRRP"

Phase 2 is only 3 punches each time, in one of these patterns:
"RRP",
"PRR",
"RPR",
"PRR"

I'd post the slot machine patterns, but the op doesn't seem to be asking for it, and it would require a bit of explanation, despite there being 6-8 patterns that are ~12-13 results long.

Sorry for my absence; I was taken away from Cuphead for a while. Isn't going through 2 fist sequences going to hurt my time? I was always under the impression you needed to beat a boss in about 1.5mins or less to get max score.

I did it guys! I guess the threshold is actually 2mins since I had a time 1:50 for A+ score. The real trick is making sure to do very short jumps which I find the game has a pretty low hold tolerance for. I simply could not do it while shooting at the same time (fire and jump mapped to X and A). My strategy was to do all my damage during the flame fairies attack and just focus solely on parries during the fist attack.
