Equip the axe. Stay on the extreme left and just go up and down (just don't go too far up and down to trap yourself in a corner) and axe any bird that stands in your way (don't chase pink chicks if that endangers you, they're absolutely not important). On second phase you can move freely, just stand in front of him and slightly go up and down to avoid that occasional feather that'll go straight towards you. On third phase be quick and shrink often, but more importantly follow its patter and enter his circle of eggs when before it gets too close. On the fourth phase use the bombs and shoot EX attacks often (switch to projectiles if you want some extra damage when the heart is exposed, but it's very trivial), make very subtle movements and try stay to the left the more time possible (if you want to do extra damage shoot the primary fire EX attack at the base of the stretcher where the bird lies).

Well if you want to score higher you're gonna avoid the heart and the double heart (because the game will record the damage you took not the ratio of your health remaining, so they're completely useless), the pink sugar and the invisible dash are useless as well (since the jump button will automatically throw a parry regardless and you can't dash while being a airoplane). So the only two useful charms are the axe and the coffee, and as far as my experience goes, unless there are very few destructible objects (and I'd say that's the case only during Djimmi's bossfight), the whetstone is far more preferible choice.

edit. nevermind, after a couple of tries it seems the smoke bomb has some effect in the airplane too. But I'd still plenty recommend the whetstone for Wally
