How am I supposed to beat the Ghost Train?

I can't get through the first stage, he just seems impossible, I've tried charge, spread, and chaser shot, none of which work, I have the smoke bomb as well. I just can't dodge all those eyeballs. any tips?

Spread and Charge. For first phase you want to stay to the left, get on the edge of the platform and just jump up and down and spam spread. For 2nd and 3rd just use charge, tell me if this helps.

For the first phase, I used roundabout to clear out the eyeballs. I would recommend you use a straight-shooting weapon and to parry all of the bricks that the flying pumpkins drop; the pumpkins are conspicuous, just watch out for them and you'll be fine

use the basic peashooter and don't take your finger off the attack button. If any eyes survive, just try to dodge them.

The start of the fight is the easiest part . The 3rd phase to 4th phase of most the fights is the crazy part. Yeah they are right roundabout works great at long distance. The first part and the other parts I use the switch from one weapon to the next while still shooting trick cause it causes more damage. That works great once you figure out the pattern. I just beat him on normal for the first time just this night . I have 3 fights left till I can fight king dice and Satan at the end! 👍 oh and one other tip smoke bomb is great!

You don't really have to bother with the pumpkins too much, depending on where you want the cart to stay at.
If you want to stick to the left or right side of the screen, you can parry the pink crank opposite of the one that will move you to the center of the screen, up to a short time prior to the pumpkin dropping the brick, which will temporarily disable the crank they are aiming for.
Most, if not all, the attacks can be avoided while the cart is on the left or right side of the screen (exception being the first and final phase in which you should stick to the left to avoid getting hit or be in the best spot to properly attack the boss).

Proper jumping in sync with the eyeballs in the first phase should clear out enough of them, if not all, easily.
The phase 2 skeleton's hands don't seem to cover the entire cart, i.e. there is a slim spot near the thumb that you can sit around, to avoid getting hit.
You can generally beat one of the Lollipop/Signals quickly when you first enter phase 3, though I've noticed (at least during my playthroughs) that they don't really seem to shoot lightning in the spot closest to the edge of the screen.

Use spread and auto parry, I think this is one of the few fights where smoke bomb isn't useful, just go to the edge of the cart and shoot straight, the spread will destroy all the eyes and the ghost at the same time, as soon as a pumpkin drops that pink thing parry it (trying not to parry the cart wheel, step backwards and jump towards the brick)

The rondabout attack on this boss made it so simple, well eventually.

Then at the last phase just focus on dodging everything and use chaser.

This is the best way. Also hit him with charge shot 3 times soon as the fight begins. You going to Want charge shot for final phase. Also save a full super from phase 3 to carry into final. You will parry his back to open the furnace. From the parry bounce immediately fire your super at the open furnace taking away 70% of his HP instantly.

I just got around to uploading this boss where roundabout is really effective at the start, I was a bit careless on phase 2 though.

During phase 3 I was jumping trying to hit the ghosts that spawn early as it worked in previous runs, and then phase 4 just avoid everything and use chaser.

I pretty much only use rondabout now as I try to complete expert and it has decent power.

You can blast the eyeballs, you don't need to dodge them all. I thought that my first go around lol

step 2: scream "I HATE YOU GHOST TRAIN"
step 3: the ghost train will disappear
step 4: jump off the roof of your house
step 5: pay for your medical bill

First Phase: Roundabout and git gud at parrying.
Second Phase: Charger and just let those pumpkins take you wherever they want.
Third Phase: Stay in the far left, shoot the left guy and you get a free room for the rest of the phase.
Fourth Phase: Aiming with Charger in the heart is hard, but doable. If you're able to do it, this thing will go down pretty quickly.
