Try out the Supreme Ruler games or the Paradox grand strategy games though paradox is more about historic grand strategy.

I love paradox games, but what I am searching is todays political simulator, like this game but more polish and completed

To date, nothing has yet came close to Shadow President. It's abandonware, and you'll need DosBox - but the GPS series, Superpower, etc. have all been subpar vs. the ease of use and diplomatic/random engine of Shadow President.

Well theres always serious gaming but that genre of games can be quite buggy and annoying. The Supreme Ruler series is the closest thing I can think of if you are looking for an actual game.

There's a board game called Twilight Struggle.

You may want to look into that even if you don't play board games. Really is one of the greatest games ever made. No really, the biggest board game site on the net has it rated number 1.

Shadow President was good, though you could only play as the US. Best bet is the wait for East vs West by Paradox, will take place from 1946-1991 and will have an open beta released in March.

Same, being that it wasn't being made by Paradox directly but a mod team and the move to open beta makes it a bit worrying.

There is supposed to be a PC version of Twilight Struggle being developed, it was due out last year but looks as if it never got out of alpha/beta stage so don't hold your breath.

Wow, a Twilight Struggle shout out on a Steam forum. Incredible game but no AI. Must have a friend present. Easily my #1 strategy game for the past couple of years.
