Bribing, prototypes & rewards
I am new to this game and while I am slowly start to get the basics, I still struggle with some gameplay mechanics.

1) I do read a lot about briding guards but I cannot figure out how to. If I got a guards attention while a job (inside a red area), they instantly start attacking me. When and how can I bride them? Can I just bribe guards at the entrance/neutral zones? What does it change if I succesfully bribe them?

2) Another thing that is still unclear for me is where I can get new prototypes besides succesfull runs. I am nearly finished downtown and still stuck with the 3 starting weapons + the reasearched laserpistol.

3) After I finished a job the log shows me the reward, but I mostly end up in getting just the half of the rewards. Where can I see what I have to do to get 100% rewards out of the job?

Thanks you and have fun! =)

In the Grid you get Plasma rifle prototypes, and Shields or Heavy Armour.

Research tab is where you turn Prototypes into purchaseable gear. Otherwise they are lost when you die with agent carrying them. You can probably get them again kater hrough the black market, but I always research every prototype before using it.

1 - guards sometimes leave their compounda nd stand outside the gate, they can be bribed when they do this.

2 - You can get prototypes by completing missions or buy them from the black market dealer which unlocks once you have completed enough missions.

3 - Make sure to read the mission brief properly, sometimes you need to use a particular agent in order to get the full reward. Also make sure to protect the agent carrying the prototype as you extract from the mission.

1) I don't think you can bribe guards. Bribing only works with specific NPCs that have info for you, or random NPC researchers that can be paid to come over to your side. You can identify who these are through your Scan (Y) ability, and seeing them appear as yellow.

2) Item assignments are randomized per game. You may have just gotten a bad randomization of which items are available. But regardless, you can always check the Black Market for prototypes that have appeared for sale (Mission Log --> Satellite Reign --> Black Market). The Black Market gets updated as you progress further in the game, so keep checking back for more items to be available.

I'd also suggest that if you are facing a difficult mission and don't have the gear to take it head-on, then consider using a stealth approach.

3) Read the mission description. Quite often, there will be a description of a specific class (Soldier, Support, Hacker, Infiltrator) that you need to enter a building in order to get all of the loot, or a description of a specific NPC you need to escort into a building to get the loot.

There are bribeable guards, but the mission has to specifically call that out. In general they are the guards standing outside the compounds (like the front door guard at Dracogenics Guard Post in Downtown). These are fairly inconsequential however (like you can just as easily go behind the said guard and assassinate him). You need to approach the guards without weapons ready, and cursor over them should say 'Bribe'.

I generally send in all agents to the buildings "just in case". Usually soldier first, then the rest so the soldier carries the protos (Infiltrator is another good one, since they are easier to sneak out if the rest of the squad is stuck in a firefight).

In CBD there are two places where you might not want to send in the soldier "just in case": Metacortex Prison blocks A-C (since it releases prisoners and sets off an alarm). And Shijokana Casino, if you have the safecracker with you. (If you don't have the safecracker, the soldier would have to get in there regardless, but I wouldn't be surprised if the soldier sets off the alarm even if you do have the safecracker as well. Didn't check that though.)

You can bribe guards they dont have to be mission related they just have to be stood in the guard state rather than patrolling.
