cant do tutorial, dont have a middle mouse button

The very first command in the tutorial needs a middle mouse button, which my mouse doesnt have. I looked through the controls menu and there is no way to remap that particular button. How can I get past this so I can actually play the damn tutorial?

You can move the camera by shoving the mouse pointer into the edge of the screen, or by using the arrow keys. If you have a scroll wheel that would be your middle button.

Also, I have a scroll wheel, but its not a button. Middle mouse buttons are rare these days cause nothing uses them usually -.-

Huh. My scroll wheel works as a middle button, but I don't use it as such, as it's hard to press it without also accidentally scrolling up or down.

Rare? I cant recall a mouse that ive had in the last 15 years thats had a scroll wheel that didnt function as a button.

Have you tried actually pressing down on the scroll ? I've never come across a mouse which didnt have the option to be used as a button

btw: Apple Users are usually at their cognitive and motor-skill limits when they see a mouse with more than one button .. so thats that .. at least that it was it back then .. maybe they have progressed and now u can actually buy shiny crapp with 2 buttons?

If your mouse has a scroll wheel - push down on it.
That is your middle mouse button.

On my Logitech G5 the first thing that broke were all the little buttons that go 'klok' instead of 'click'. The scroll wheel button goes 'klok' too, but I guess it's still alive because I never use it.

Ive got the razer naga gaming mouse, and the scroll wheel has never done anything but scroll >.>

I play from a laptop touchpad, and am always having this problem with games using the scroll wheel.

Fortuneatly SR has keyboard bindings for it, but many small developers don't have an alternate keyboard interface, and/or don't let you remap the command.

So instead, I've got an auto-hotkey script that maps to the scroll wheel.

I have the Naga as well, nothing wrong with the scroll wheel. just press it.

I actually didn't find a mouse that didn't have a middle button underneath the scroll wheel. I used to have it bound to reload back in the CS 1.5 days

I can press my scroll in, but it doesn’t allow me to look backwards still in feeding grow fish is that the only way to look backwards in feed and grow fish?
