Games like this?
I enjoy this game alot, specifically controlling a squad of characters, leveling them up and taking on these missions with the kits i load them up with
the setting is pretty good but wouldn't mind anything else, the real boon is the high tech gadgets augments & weapons you can bring along!
i'd love to see more stuff like this

Shadowrun (Returns, Dragonfall, Hong Kong) might be fun for you if you haven't tried them yet.

Dustwind (a modern recreation of fallout tactics) and the Fallout Tactics games themselves both feature solid character creation, level ups, and technological gadgetry as well as better squad combat than Satellite Reign. Neither are fully open world like SR but have plenty of different environments and missions to complete.

I've been playing a trio of cyberpunk games with different similar elements: This, Neon Chrome and StarCrawlers.

NC isn't quite the same, but you control one clone at a time in roguelite legacy fashion (each attempt nets you some resources to permanently upgrade your baseline attributes). More arcadey than SR.

StarCrawlers is a squad-based sci-fi/cyberpunk CRPG of the Dungeon Master breed (tile-based movement, turn-based combat). Hacking is a Gibsonesque subgame.

Oh, I also should mention that EA made a first person shooter called Syndicate in 2012. That is technically part of the Syndicate series, but it plays totally different (first person shooter) and was pretty mediocre. Stick to the two strategy games from the 90s.

Syndicate 2012 also have Multiplayer mode which is kinda like Syndicate-Sim, it offers different kind of upgrades and reaserches to do and also missions takes place on 1993 Syndicate game maps. MP mode was very good, far better than single player campaing, it actually feels like they made MP mode first and then added SP campaing for some reason. I don't think there are a lot of players nowadays in MP, but I've played a lot of it on PS3 and it was pure fun. I think syndicate I was in is still on top of leaderboard somewhere haha

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Invisible Inc. It's a turn-based stealth, hacking and infiltration game with lots of cyberpunk flavour.
