Whats up with the impression you get from entering the swimming pool?

Me, and looking at the game screenshots in the com hub, many people stop and actually take in the room and atmosphere. I knew I wasn't alone with this. This game has many cool level designs and scenes, but this swimmig pool is different.

Does it look more realistic than the rest? Is it the moody lighting?
I am just curious,
