is it gonna work on mobile GPU ?
i have GTX 660M - 2GB
or just not officially supported?
edit: ok, thanks for the answer
"at this moment" you say? ;)
And you should know no free game or software or any FREE thing on steam provides Cards ...
dont say ( Dota 2 TF2 ) They give you 1 trading card once you buy ingame store worth of 9.99$
I tested this with an NVIDIA GTX880M mobile GPU set, tried and got all achievements except:
So I'd say it probably will work for your GTX660M too, with some limitations, possibly no test option or fan control.
* I did use the laptop's own controls to set fan RPM to 100% with this software running, but this did not register the Max RPM achievement. I think this means this software cannot control the fan for this GPU.
thanks for the answer
Should we be encouraging people that may not know what they are doing to set their GPU core to 2Ghz???
And of course all actions we doing "at our own risk".
EVGA have warning message on their website, but not on Steam store. 3D mark also doesn't have any warnings on Steam store page. Seems legit...
I don't see the point. They don't teach you anything about the program nor are they truly difficult.
In fact they actually keep me from trying the program because it will drag down my "Avg. Game Completion Rate" which Steam keeps track of on my profile. It might be a stupid reason but I'm really trying to raise that number so I avoid anything that will lower it.
Turning your expensive GPU into a puff of white smoke at Ludicrous-Speed is a small price to pay for gettting all the achievements. ;)
Seriously though, if people do not apply common OC wisdoms and burn their GPU just for the 'ding!', they probably should not be allowed to operate heavy computing equipment anyway.
All OC'king is limited anyway. You won't reach 2 Ghz without mods or\and liquid nitrogen. If you try to do it with air cooling... Then card\driver protection triggering. This is very-very-VERY hard to kill your card by OC'king now.
