Keep on eye out on Fanantical/BundleStars.

They regularly have huge bundles with a whole bunch of HOGs for literally nothing and I've amassed quite a few to play around with that way.

Thing is, over there, the majority of games are $9.99 no matter how old the game is and $6.99 for members, but members pay $6.99 a month (and get one game credit a month credit included, then all additional games at that discount)

But if you are into hidden objects games, BigFish has more than Steam, but $7 (or $10) is the standard price range (there's sometimes cheaper sales and ways to earn free games if you buy a certain number per month, it's usually buy 6 get one free)

Anyway, my girlfriend is into hidden objects games like this, but if she wanted it we have game credits pre-paid from simply keeping our membership up to date over there.
