Tribes III Discord = Dead Internet?

Am I insane or is the #general chat in the Tribes III Discord just bots talking to each other? 90% of the convo in there doesn't feel human

It does feel very scripted, like there are certain triggers that will cause bots to respond with generic replies or just other weird stuff. The weirdest chat I've seen in an official game discord.

I left shortly after I witnessed absolutely braindead takes from multiple folk not ironically recommending the purchase of separate, nigh airgapped gaming computers to enjoy the revamped "cheat-free" experience of Tribes 3: Rivals™ and its always-on rootkit 3rd party plugins.

Whoever is still left on there is most likely equivalent caliber of void brain, and merely sounds like a daft automaton as result.

Why should anyone take your word for it?

If anyone wants to see if the discord is full of bots or whatever just join and talk, or just watch, whatever.

The only possible reason for a thread like this is to try and keep people from seeing the active community on there.

They don't have to take my word for it, just join and read. It's just something I noticed about the conversation there - not trying to push people away.

I'm honestly hopeful Tribes 3 works out. I'm enjoying my time in ranked but just little red flags here and there is making me less optimistic.

For what it's worth it feels like bot-ish at the moment.
