Well it'll be great if there's a server list enabled or something. Or will that be too costly to implement?
I really want to see a match making feature. I'm pretty tired of doing host>client for games like this that can be so much better with a match making.

I Host my Server over Hamachi, but it lags for all other players so hard that it is unplayable. We also tried to switch, so my friend is Host. The problem is not a bad internet connection. Anyone any suggestions? :(
THank god i found this, i was failing horibly at hostinbg a game. This definetly cleared up alot of confusion, Thanks!
@Demo-raiii . if you buy this game I'll play it with you, my buddy isn't on, and if needed we can use a voice chat.
annoys me that basic games with levels cant have basic peer to peer connectivity and lobbies. sure i can set them up but sometimes its fiddly and clicking mp then inviting would be so much more user friendly. indies where you gotta set up dedicated servers are much worse though but still, wanted to vent :)
Hey guys, I just want to add another way to play this game with your friends online.

As this guide says, there are 2 ways of connecting each other in this game:

1. Through ip to ip connection
2. Through 3rd party program (ie Hamachi)

I just want to add that Hamachi is not the best 3rd party program for ME (tried and lagged hard). I live in Indonesia FYI (slow connection here, mostly) and after days of frustation, I found another 3rd party program called Tunngle (http://www.tunngle.net/index.php?l=en). This program works well for me with my slow speed of internet (3.8mb download, 0.6mb upload, really) and I able to play with friends in Indonesia too.

Therefore, I feel moved to add a little guide for those players who bought this game to play with their friends. (I know how frustated you are when you and your friends bought this game and try the multiplayer and yea, lagged like hell)

-First you download the software here: http://www.tunngle.net/community/files/file/571-tunngle-setup-v4514bexe/

-Get the instalation done and you will be asked to make an account in order to fully operate this program.

-Login into your Tunngle program using your username and password. See if there is any error, well the best way to know it, is to see the right bottom corner. They put a smiley icon there, if there is NO SINGLE ERROR, the icon will be Smiley Green. Well, for me, I got the Yellow Pokerface, because I need to set up the NAT first in order to "open" a port for Tunngle.

How do we set up the NAT? We need access to the router, USUALLY you need to type 192.168.1.1 in your browser and fill in the username and password (for me, the username and password are the same, which is "admin"). If 192.168.1.1 doesn't work, then go click the Windows sign on your bottom left corner, and type CMD. A black window will pop out and you need to type "ipconfig" there and look for the "Ethernal adapter LAN". If you find it, look at the GATEWAY ADDRESS, that is your key to open your router config.

Open up your router config, look for NAT and choose Port Triggering. Then you just need to add a few line by clicking the "Add" button.

Here's what I fill in:

App Name: Tunngle
Trigger
Protocol: TCP
Port Start: 11443
Port End: 11443
Open Port
Protocol: UDP
Port Start: 11155
Port End: 11155
and you just need to click "Save".

And that's it, you will solve the "NAT error". For those who encounter "Port Forwarding" error using Tunngle, you can read this to fix yours: http://www.tunngle.net/wiki/Port_Forward

-Go look on the left hand side the word "Network Search" and type "Magicite" below it. The result will pop on the right and you just need to double-click the Magicite server and you will be directed into the Magicite Lobby. Inside a lobby you'll be given your virtual Tunngle IP which you can see on your bottom left corner. Take a note of that and give it to your friends you want to play with. Start the game, go to Multiplayer, host a game and ask your friend to join your virtual Tunggle IP (they must install Tunngle too). If you got port error (in-game), then simply repeat the step above but here's what you need to fill in:

App Name: Magicite
Trigger
Protocol: TCP
Port Start: 7777
Port End: 7777
Open Port
Protocol: TCP
Port Start: 7777
Port End: 7777
and click "Save".

Hope this helps. :)
ty now i can play with friends xD
The netcode for the game is rather buggy. Playing with any more than one other person constantly derails games because of desyncing issues with host and clients. Port-forwarding is great until you hit the wall built into the game's code.
