Is it really so hard to play a game of Magicite in Multiplayer?

It's not difficult at all, all you need to do is make sure a connection is possible.
Quick guide would be:
"Either use LAN, Hamachi while in the same network, or port forward port 7777."

I wrote this guide for people with no network skills whatsoever, that's why it's so long.

Use port forwarding as detailed in the above guide.

@Devs... will you make it easier to play multiplayer in future releases?

i need some help here with portfwarding. ive tried to portfoward and i dont know where im going wrong i go to my router which is my default gateway ip and go to porfowarding and i use starting and ending port 7777. as for TCP or UDP i cant choose both. only one can be chosen
(i chose TCP) furthermore it has another option that say GRE then it has an empty box that says lan ip, i put my ipv4 address in this slot and save it and everything confirms. i host it and i give my friend my public ip from "whatsmyip" and he still cannot connect he hass the right port and public ip address that i gave him. what am i doing wrong

Ark, I would make 2 forwarding entries: one for TCP and one for UDP, just to be on the safe side. Next, make sure your IPv4 address is static (actually type it into your network settings instead of the default option to have it pick one for you). You may also need to add that port to your Windows firewall (again both TCP and UDP) to ensure it's not getting in the way. Also note that your external IP address will occasionally change, so always double check that it's the same before having your friend attempt to connect.

Thank S3rvant, ill try that later today when i play with my friend. how does one make their IP static. im familiar with what it means i just have never done it.

Alrighty I made 2 entries in my router portfoward for 7777 using tcp and udp. i used me ipv4 address for both entries. i also followed the guide on how to make my IP static. i also made 2 exceptions in my firewall for 7777 for tcp and udp.. ill let you know the results once i try it with my friend.

Everything worked perfectly S3rvant :D it lags a bit when playing from eachothers houses but lan play works great. thanks again!

Excellent, glad to hear it! Multiplayer is still pretty buggy, but is tons of fun when it works right. Hope you guys have a blast :)

Is there anywhere that I can find random people to play with? That's the only thing stopping me from buying this game, a fear of not being able to find people to play with.

Our steam group is filled with people that are looking for new people to play with.
