Sweet looking game

So I finally got to play about an hour, small learning curve, and it looks fantastic. I like the ability to use spells and weapons. I couldnt figure out if consuming food works yet, so I sold everything I found.

I'll definitely be playing more, this looks great.

Consuming food does work according to their varying effects. It's a great game; there is a lot of great content in store for us :D

Is there a trick to eating? I had a ton of stuff in my inventory, tried right-clicking to no avail.

Put it in your hotbar and then hit the button for it.

If I recall correctly the devs did say they're planning on implementing item use directly from the inventory. I hope I am recalling correctly because that's a really important feature, especially given you only have 6 hotkeys available atm...

I know this is an old thread but I can't figure out how to eat the food either. I put a chicken leg in my hot bar and when I hit the button the chicken became invisible but she was wielding it like a sword. I could even hit with it though it didn't do much damage. I had to take my sword off then put it back on to make her quit using the chicken leg as a weapon. Did I do something wrong?
