Hello!
Thanks for taking the time to play the demo and give us feedback :D
Regarding the boat feedback - what feels like it is holding it back? When you say mess, do you mean that it is too much to manage between the stations as a solo player? If so, is there anything we could do to smooth it out while having two stations still?
Re: the enemy, that is definitely a bug on our list!
And we have updates coming to Hunger very soon! :)
It is a bit difficult running between the two interaction points to avoid hitting rocks and/or stopping the boat.
BUT: if you plan ahead and change the speed at the sail early enough, you can sail just fine. The only way to change that would be to merge two stations into one, which would be a pity for multiplayer.
More annoying is getting hit on the boat and even if you are on stone on the ruined islands by those pesky fishes.
I can understand, the planned sea serpent can attack the boat (really hope not everywhere :) in multiplayer not a problem, but I liked having a save spot in solo game - it's not Subnautica :)) but not the fishes, and not through the stone. That's a bit ... strange.
Definitely it is a bug that the fish attack through the boat! It is on our list to try to fix :D
and thank you so much for the thoughts!
We don't have plans yet for how we'll improve the single player sailing, but we know its a painpoint and we hope to make some improvements in some of the upcoming releases!
I have to agree. I understand some players won't like the frantic back and forth especially solo, but if you plan your route and ease into your locations it is a breeze. If it must be changed, give us the option to choose.
I would like to see some building on the boat. I was enjoying the nomadic style of traveling and surviving via fishing and foraging. Not game breaking to put down a structure (repair wheel) use it and pick it up, but definitely a QoL change. Maybe a boat upgrade?
Boat upgrades (or something like that) is definitely something we want to do! We are planning out stuff for that now, and we'll be working on that over the next few months :)
It's possible but decisiions like that can sometimes lead us to more maintenance and doesn't always solve the exact problem! Plus there's a barrier to communicate that - how does a player know?
But definitely an idea and possibility! thank you for the suggestion
